Even though I have lived in the Dallas area for almost 40 years this session was actually the first time I had ever been to the Dallas Arboretum. Wow, it was amazing. Everywhere we walked and looked there was a great place to take some pictures. While we were there we happened to be in the middle of a proposal which of course everybody around clapped for. It was also busier than expected so it was important to try and find the right angles so that we didn't have people in the background. Congrats to Elena and wish her the best!Read more →
I took pictures of this beautiful family at a new park location that I had not shot at before and actually as I write this it doesn't show up on Google Maps yet. However, it provided some great shots and the family did a great job of coordinating their outfits for the pictures. There was one picture that the son wanted to get which he prefaced with that we couldn't laugh but it involved getting on top of a rock and roaring while flexing. This provided a picture of a great smile on top of a rock.Read more →
This was another great family session with the Dailys. Both of their boys are now walking and acting like brothers. It was also great to get some of those fall colors since we don't get to see that for too long around here.Read more →
Not all my sessions require a lot of time or even very many edited photos. In this case, Nomkita just needed a simple headshot. I did take many others but this was the final choice.Read more →
This day ended up being a lot colder than expected, I believe it was in the 30s but everyone in the family was a trooper. We were able to get different combinations quickly and even the little ones were cooperative. We then did do some more at Grandma's house to get out of the cold which everyone appreciated.Read more →
This one was a bittersweet session. I've been photographing this family for a long time but have been friends for even longer so while I was happy to take these pictures for them I certainly missed my friend in these. He was a great husband and father and it's heartwarming to see how they continue to cherish his memory through their love and devotion to each other. I am also grateful that I was able to capture images of them all together in the past so that they can preserve those memories along with these new ones.Read more →
Doing senior pictures is interesting because it is interesting to find out what each individual likes or is into. Blake was in tennis so the majority of the shots were of him with his favorite sport. I did find out that he had a few more tennis players in his family so it must run in his genes.Read more →
Quinceñeras are almost like wedding receptions and this one was at a really nice location called Palazio Event Venue in Denton. The evening included some pictures as guests arrived out by the water feature and the beautiful Texas sunset and then inside with gifts and of course dancing.Read more →
The mom from this family wanted pictures as a gift for her birthday so she tasked her family on finding a photographer. The son was the one that ultimately reached out to me and we set everything up. I've done a few sessions at Arbor Hills but it never fails to result in some great images. Some of them the family commented that they looked like we used a photo background but nope it's all real.Read more →
This was a fun photoshoot because even though the brothers are now mostly adults they still had fun around each other. Mom wanted to get a photo of everyone together before most of them started to do their own things in life.Read more →
